“To Pimp a Butterfly” (previously known as “[Untitled]“) is the upcoming third studio album by American rapper Kendrick Lamar. It’s scheduled to be released on digital retailers on 23 March 2015 via Top Dawg, Aftermath and Interscope Records.
This album arrives after winning GRAMMY Award for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for his urban smash hit “i”, and after releasing another new single called “The Blacker the Berry“,
The pre-order of the album was released on iTunes on 6 March 2015, including “The Blacker the Berry” as instant download track. Kendrick Lamar put the album up on iTunes as “[Untitled]” along with a blank black cover and no tracklist, the actual album name “To Pimp a Butterfly“, tracklist and official artwork released on 11 March 2015.
