The awaited comeback to the music scene of “Call My Maybe” hitmaker Carly Rae Jepsen is here.
The Canadian singer-songwriter is ready to impact radio with her anticipated new single “I Really Like You“, first taste of her upcoming third studio album, scheduled to be released this year via Interscope Records.
The new single will be released on digital retailers on 2 March 2015. Her manager Scooter Braun confirmed the release on his recent interview with Billboard. He said:
Her new single is coming in March. I told her that she couldn’t come out with anything unless it was on the level of “Call Me Maybe.” And, now we have a new one that is on that level
The music video was filmed in mid-February and it was directed by Peter Glanz. It includes guest appearances of Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber.
“I Really Like You” is pure pop from start to finish. Instant radio hit and a really perfect comeback. Catchy, easy-listening and fresh. The anthem reminds a lot of Taylor Swift’s new pop side and the single it’s a better and lovely version of her “New Romantics“.
