At last! It’s been unveiled! A press release sent out by Beyoncé’s label this Tuesday morning (Nov. 4) confirmed all the details about the much-talked-about “Beyonce Vol. 2” album. Unfortunately, it’s not going to be the “Vol. 2“ project we were all expecting, but the “new” Beyoncé project WILL include new music
The “BEYONCE Platinum Edition Box Set” will be released by Columbia Records on November 24. It’s going to include 2 CDS and 2 DVDs. One CD will be the complete original “Beyoncé” album, while the other will see all the “new music” packed in. That CD filled with “new music” is going to include mostly remixes featuring major guest artists and ONLY 2 NEW SONGS (sad face). In the DVDs department, Beyoncé is going to include in the box set the DVD with all her “BEYONCÉ” music videos while the other will be a DVD containing performances from the “Mrs. Carter World Tour”. The “Drunk In Love” star will also put in every box set her 2015 calendar.
Columbia has also confirmed that fans that already bought “BEYONCÉ” last year “are going to be given the opportunity to add bonus material”.
I was actually hoping for a proper “Vol. 2” meaning a lot of new songs so I’m definitely a bit upset. But hey…at least we are indeed getting new Beyoncé music, but just 2 songs. The “BEYONCE Platinum Edition Box Set” is definitely an intelligent move by Sony/Columbia in order to get all the sales possible using the Beyoncé brand this upcoming holiday season.
