An unreleased Britney Songs has leaked. I repeat, an unreleased Brit Brit song has hit the Internet. *faints*. The acoustic-pop track called "Conscious" surfaced online today (Jan. 23) and it's been reported that it was recorded during the studio sessions of the 2003 album "In The Zone". Clearly the song was never fully finished, was thrown into ‘the vault’, and never became part of the "In The Zone" official era. Nevertheless, many, many, MANY years later this demo-ish Britney song has leaked and we MUST cherish it despite its cheap quality because it's sort of 'new' Britney Spears music (we don't know yet when her new album/lead single are going to come out - should be 'soon' though!), and hearing those signature Britney vocals always make you feel good and sexy. So without further ado, stream "Conscious" below before it’s taken down.
"Conscious" (3:17 minutes)
So good, huh? You so can tell this was intended for the "In The Zone" era.
"Conscious" is an acoustic-pop number, it's guitar-heavy, and hears Ms. Spears singing about a man whom she is completely obsessed with and whom she hopes is “undressing me with your eyes”. Such a shame "Conscious" was never completed. It had potential! The Britney vocals and attitude are nice, but the demo-ish roughness makes it a bit impossible to totally get into the song. Oh, man!
