Taylor Swift and Pharrell Williams were the two guest performers on the first live results show of "The X Factor UK" on Sunday, October 12. The American superstars performed on the hit ITV 1 show their latest singles; “Shake It Off” and “Gust of Wind”, respectively. None of the performances really stood out in the “vocals” department but they were nevertheless entertaining to watch. Watch below!! First performer of the night Taylor Swift shook her hips as she performed her monster single “Shake It Off”, first offering from her forthcoming fifth album “1989”. Wearing a glittery black two-piece outfit, Ms. Swift moved around the entire X Factor UK stage as tuxedo-wearing male back-up dancers surrounded her. Again, Taylor’s vocals sounded too fragile and thin. Evidently, “Shake It Off” is an uncomfortable song to sing live for her. Later on Sunday night, Pharrell Williams took to the "X Factor UK” center stage to perform his newest “GIRL” single “Gust of Wind" - whose music video premiered online recently. The performance saw the former N.E.R.D leader wearing a hipster outfit and Chinese back-up dancers shaking feather-made fans with their hands. Ehh....the performance was fine, but Pharrell's lip-syncing was just too evident. Also, why does he keep promoting “GIRL”? I just think it’s a waste of time and money. He won't have another hit coming from this album. "Happy" was it.
