Katy Perry has released official "behind the scenes" footage of her "Unconditionally" music video on VEVO. The visual for the powerful Dr Luke and Max Martin co-produced pop ballad was directed by Brent bonacorso and filmed in London last October.
Katy explains in an interview in the "behind the scenes" clip below that the concept for the "Unconditionally" video was; "beautiful, elegant, and show the many ways love can hit you". It is undeniably one, if not the most beautiful music video Katy Perry shot ever, but it's true too that "Unconditionally" isn't her strongest single of recent times. The song hasn't flopped, but for instance, it's hasn't reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, something that Katy has achieved with all her previous singles, at least all in the "Teenage Dream" era, and all in "One of the Boys" (with the exception of "Thinking of You"). So that's a "step down" by Katy Perry's standards.In the "behind the scenes", we also get to see how the costume designers explain the AnNa Karenina inspiration, and we get to see the dancers rehearse their ball choreographies, or even Katy holding a kitty, and getting to know Mr Boo Boo, the Owl.
