“Stories” is the upcoming second studio album by Swedish record producer and deejayAvicii. It’s scheduled to be released on digital retailers in 2015 via PRMD Records.
It comes preceded by the promotional singles “The Days“, included on Ralph Lauren’s Denim & Supply commercial and the second promotional song “The Nights“, included on FIFA 15 game soundtrack.
The producer told with Rolling Stone about his second studio album. The follow-up of his acclaimed debut “True” will feature Jon Bon Jovi, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Green Day vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong, Wyclef Jean, American/Israeli reggae artist Matisyahu, and System of a Down singer Serj Tankian, among others not yet confirmed.
About the album, Avicii said:
It’s going to be a lot more song-oriented. True was an attempt at that, getting electronic music in a song format
This new album won’t be the producer’s first attempt experimenting with rock and alternative music. Besides, the World Music Award winner also collaborated onColdplay’s latest single “A Sky Full of Stars“, included on the band’s sixth album “Ghost Stories“. Avicii also collaborated with David Guetta’s smash country/EDM-inspired single “Lovers On the Sun“.
During Future Music Festival in Australia, Avicii premiered brand new single “Heaven” featuring vocals of Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin.
