The upcoming original motion picture soundtrack for “The Divergent Series: Insurgent” is scheduled to be released on digital retailers on 17 March 2015.
It serves to promote the upcoming 2015 science fiction action film directed with the same name directed by Robert Schwentke, based on Insurgent, the second book in the Divergent trilogy, written by Veronica Roth. It is the sequel to the 2014 film “Divergent” and the second installment in The Divergent Series.
The soundtrack comes preceded by the first promotional single “Hole In the Sky” performed by M83 with the collaboration of HAIM. It was premiered on 2 March 2015.
The second promotional single, “Never Let You Down” by Woodkid premiered on 9 March 2015, upon the iTunes pre-order of the OST. The track also features the additional vocals of Lykke Li.
