Four years after the release of her latest album “Biophilia“, Icelandic multifaceted artistBjörk is ready to start the promotion of her highly-awaited ninth studio album, “Vulnicura” released by surprise after the leak on digital retailers on January 20, 2015 via Polydor Records.
The singer has been worked in the studio with Venezuelan producer Arca and British electronic and dark ambient producer Bobby Krlic, otherwise known as The Haxan Cloak.
Still no confirmed date for the album release, but if you remember in her book entitled “Björk: Archives“, it’s documenting that the content of the exhibition, will be released on 30 March 2015.
She confirmed the album’s name and shared the official credits of the album and tracklist on 14 January.
The song “Black Lake” is a promotional new sound and video installation commissioned by The Museum of Modern Art on the occasion of the exhibition Björk (March 8–June 7, 2015; Member Previews, March 4–7).
The music video for “Lionsong” was premiered on 12 March 2015. It was created in collaboration between Björk, Inez & Vinoodh and visual effects production House Framestore.
