And just like that Season 8 of NBC’s “The Voice” begins Monday, February 23, just two months after Craig Wayne Boyd was crowned victor of Season 7.
The new season will see the return of ‘original’ coach Christina Aguilera to the panel, ousting Gwen Stefani, while Pharrell will keep his red chair as Cee-Lo Green’s still refusing to return to the talent show.
As every new season, on the first Blind Auditions episode all four coaches walk on stage, amid a loud cheering by the audience, to treat everyone watching with a group performance. Entertainment Weekly just got the world exclusive today (Feb. 19), four days before the much-anticipated season premiere, of this performance, courtesy of NBC, and it’s available to watch! What song did the coaches cover? Find out below!
It was Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way”. SUCH a great song!
Christina (aka. Legedtina) is back and greater than ever. She killed those vocals. Adam also killed it on the drums and singing live, Blake Shelton also did his thing with the guitar and proving a country man can also sing rock and Pharrell, well he was usual was useless. I just don't like the way he 'sings'.
Will this finally be the season Christina aligns a new album release with the show broadcast? She better! 2015 has to be her year.
