Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett appeared on Comedy Central’s "The Colbert Report" live on Tuesday night (Dec. 2). It seems Interscope and Columbia are thinking that “Cheek to Cheek” will see a re-surge in sales this Christmas season as they’ve sent their artists back into “united” promotion mode. Sat down next to Stephen Colbert last night, Tony & Gaga discussed their joint jazz album project, taking their “Cheek to Cheek” promo concerts to distant countries like China or Russia and receiving nothing but love and Tony was also inquired if Gaga remembered him to any of the many legendary jazz artists he’s collaborated with in the past. Don’t miss his answer!
After the interview portion, Gaga (serving red mermaid realness) and Tony hit the stage to perform a beautiful live rendition of the song "Cheek to Cheek", an original composition of Irving Berlin made in 1935. My God! Tony was awesome as ever, but Lady Gaga’s vocals were just out-of-this-world GOOD. She’s just loving this jazz vibe. I’m so happy she’s announced “Cheek to Cheek” won’t be her last jazz project.
