“Globalization”, Pitbull’s new album, hit stores this week and Mr. Worldwide knows he’s got to promote, promote and promote if he doesn’t want his new project to be a chart disaster. But in honest truth…I don’t think he can prevent “Globalization” from being a flop. I’m sure he’s already accepted that he’s a singles artist. 2012’s “Global Warming” album debuted at #14 on the Billboard Top 200 selling only 63k copies. And Pitbull had scored a few hit singles before album release! So imagine what’s going to happen with “Globalization”. There is no real hit backing this project up. I predict a less than 50k-copies-sold debut.
Keeping up with the “Globalization” TV promotion schedule, Pitbull stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday night (November 25). He performed there he semi-hit “Fireball” and the new single “Time of Our Lives” with Ne-Yo. Both live performances on the ABC late show featured the stage strutting of group of sexy girls. Very energetic performance and I’m sure the crowd there had a good time. Still, “Time of Our Lives” is such a bad decline from “Give Me Everything”.
