Cheryl “I Don’t Care” (The X Factor Performance)

Cheryl - I Don't Care (2014) - 1200x1200

Following the success of her latest single “Crazy Stupid Love, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, best known as Cheryl Cole and now just Cheryl, continues in full promotion of her upcoming fourth studio album called “Only Human“, scheduled to be released in November 24, 2014 via Polydor Records.
The second official single is called “I Don’t Care“, and it’s scheduled to be released on November 9th. The singer has filmed the music video in Marbella (Spain) in late-August. It was premiered on VEVO on Friday October 3rd.
During an interview with Capital FM, she said:
I shot the video, it was a lot of fun. It’s something I’ve never done before, I was outdoors. It’s called ‘I Don’t Care’, it sums up pretty much how I feel right now. It’s very pop, but fun pop!
I Don’t Care” was written by Cheryl with the collaboration of Bonnie McKee, Jocke Åhlund and John Newman. It received its first play on Capital FM on Wednesday October 1st.
Cheryl gives us a carefree anthem and obviously makes it clear that she “doesn’t care“. Obviously, she will always be our Cheryl, regardless of the surname she has.
The song is cool, but pretty Katy Perry-generic after all. Anyway it’s quite catchy and an instant radio friendly hit, resulting in a very effective pop production. “I Don’t Care” has that aftertaste with this midi sound with a very nineties style, so Kylie’s “I Believe In You” meets 2 Unlimited.
For the first time, Cheryl returns with a second single with the potential that can secure her second consecutive No. 1 on the UK charts. It might even be her introduction letter for the American market.
