You + Me (better known to music fans as Pink and City And Colour) drop their debut LP rose ave. tomorrow (October 14). Once you get your head around the pop/rock queen’s folk side-project, there’s a lot to love about the duo’s gritty music. From emotional ballad “Break The Cycle” to brooding anthem “Capsized”, the songs have all been uniformly excellent. The versatile singers dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show today to perform the song from which they derived their name. “You And Me” is a sparse, heartfelt ditty that actually sounds better live. Pink and Dallas Green (his real name) delivered a bare bones rendition with only a strummed guitar and keyboard to accompany them. Watch their beautiful performance up top. Are you feeling You + Me?
