After taking over the charts with her massive, booty-loving single “Anaconda,” Nicki Minaj is back with a follow-up song — “Only.” It finds the rapper going back to her roots, and actually rapping. The opening line immediately tears down any rumors about her and the Young Money crew: “I never f*cked Wayne, I never f*cked Drake/ All my life man f*ck sake/ If I did I would menage with ‘em and let them eat my ass like a cupcake.” Well then! The rapper continues to talk a lot of smack on the tune, while Chris Brown rushes in with the confident hook. Lil Wayne and Drake also provide explicit verses. It is all laid over a simple but menacing beat with pin-drop sound effects, courtesy of producer Dr. Luke. “Only” is the third single off Nicki Minaj’s forthcoming third studio LP, The Pinkprint — which has been pushed back to a December 15 release date.
