Is This Cheryl "Unpretty / Pretty Hurts" Mash-Up Amazing or Awful? [Watch]

Really Cheryl? The singer who survived malaria has just uploaded on YouTube (Oct. 9) a black and white video that sees her performing a mash-up of TLC's "Unpretty" and Beyoncé's "Pretty Hurts". What’s the purpose of this? That the video becomes viral and it helps the first-week sales of her upcoming 4th album “Only Human” (due in stores November 10th) - noticed how she’s tagged the buy links for the album on the video description even though she’s not performing music of hers Well, I will say neither. It’s not amazing – simply because Cheryl doesn't have the voice to do anything amazing - nor awful because she evidently rehearsed a lot and probably shot this performance several times as her pitch is OK. I wonder, though, why covering these songs? (these song amazing songs!) Couldn't she have picked something easier? The only thing she’s going to get from this is a lot of negative comments - although that would make the video viral and sort of the purpose of it, huh? Oh well.
