Less than a month till La Roux’s comeback album ‘Trouble In Paradise’ album hits the stores (July 7th) and we are able to say that we have heard three songs from the project!
We first heard the buzz single 'Let Me Down Gently', then the lead single 'Uptight Downtown', and now it's the turn of 'Tropical Chancer'. The summery, catchy vintage-sounding pop gem is the newest iTunes countdown single from ‘Trouble In Paradise’.
The music from this new La Roux album keeps getting better and better! Accepting the fact they are not releasing an electro-pop party-smasher a la ‘Bulletproof’ this year, I am loving La Roux’s current synth-moody sound. Not sure if ‘Trouble In Paradise’ or the official singles coming from it will be huge hits, but one thing is for certain with the first La Roux studio release in five years, the duo is going to deliver QUALITY music.

La Roux first revealed 'Tropical Chancer' with a live performance at a show in Bristol, England early last year. The suffering Elly Jackson must’ve gone through waiting for her label to give La Rpux a release date for ‘Trouble In Paradise’! Poor her!
'Tropical Chancer' is amazing for two reasons; the catchy chorus, and the piano!
