Listen: One Direction's 30 Minute Interview with Scott Mills For BBC Radio 1

one direction at world music awards 2014 Scott Mills caught up with boyband One Direction immediately after they finished their set at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend music festival in Glasgow, Scotland over the weekend. In the 30-minute chat (that's long!), Zayn, Louis and Co. discuss their upcoming album, what's left to do for One Direction, Gary Barlow, if it ever gets tired of being in One Direction, among many other things. This is a not-to-be-missed interview! Well-played, BBC Radio 1! They have had this 30-minute interview with One Direction taped and resting on a desktop for four days. What not posting before? We have the intuition that this interview was meant to see the light of day on Tuesday, May 27th, one day after Memorial Day in the U.S when the traffic of the interview would be the most massive. However, the Daily Mail forced a change of plans. The UK paper posted the story of the video of One Direction members Zayn and Louis smoking marijuana in Peru back in April on Tuesday night. BBC Radio 1 had to re-plan things, of course. For their taped interview with One Direction suddenly increased its ‘value’. They waited one whole day (Wednesday) in order to get the hype up, and this very afternoon (at 2pm UK time and after an intense promotion of the interview release on their socials), BBC Radio 1 played the whole 30-minute interview with One Direction. They obviously don't talk about the 'Peru video' (since it wasn't posted online yet), but BBC Radio 1 got the exclusive of having the first 'One Direction interview' since that happened.
