We had the original with R. Kelly, and then the one with Christina Aguilera, but it's the time to listen to the studio version of the 'solo' edit of "Do What U Want", sung solely by Lady Gaga. The DJ White Shadow-produced R&B-esque song is the infamous second single from Gaga's "Artpop" album, which although peaking at #13 on the US Billboard Hot 100, it never became a 'real hit', it lacked radio support and its Terry Richardson-directed music video was eventually scrapped. Gaga tried to save the single making it a duet with Christina Aguilera, but that never a true success either. Now, a few months after one of the saddest episodes in "Artpop" history, the studio version of the 'solo' edit of "Do What U Want" has surfaced online. There are a couple of live performances where Gaga has performed this 'solo' edit but this is the first time we get to hear it in its high-quality studio version. This was released via iTunes Spain over the weekend as part of a random 'NRJ compilation'.
