Katy Perry Names “Birthday” The 4th Single From ‘Prism’, Unveils Adorable Cover

Katy Perry brought out her big balloons today (April 3) and announced that “Birthday” will be the next single from her mega-selling Prism album on Twitter. This is a total no-brainer. The bubbly Dr. Luke/Max Martin production is utterly irresistible and could add to the diva’s already staggering tally of number one hits. “Boy when you’re with me, I’ll give you a taste,” the 29-year-old superstar coos over slick, mid-tempo disco beats. “Make it like your birthday every day!” The song is quintessentially Katy in that it’s tongue-in-cheek and irreverent but still adorable and completely inoffensive. I particularly love the part where she sings about her famous balloons! As for the cover? It’s an awesome childhood pic. Well played, chart queen. See her tweet and listen to the song after the jump.
