Drake Makes (Another) Jab at Jay Z at Raptors/Nets Game

Drake After criticizing Jay Z's lyrical art references in an interview with Rolling Stone, Drake has once again thrown shade at Hova's highbrow tastes, reports AllHipHop.com.The Toronto Raptors' "Global Ambassador" contributed to the Toronto Sports Network's coverage of his home team's game with the Brooklyn Nets at the Air Canada Center on Saturday, April 19. Commenting on the game, Drizzy said, "Jay Z is somewhere eating a fondue plate," to which commentators Matt Davlin and Jack Armstrong responded, "Oh, we got the Drake/Jay Z thing going!""It's our time, we got to keep it competitive," Drake added. "It's an ironic matchup." Find the full exchange below.Jay Z recently addressed Drake's comments to Rolling Stone in his verse on Jay Electronica's (who has also thrown his hat into the rapper beef ring by tweeting that his "Control" verse topped Kendrick Lamar's) remix of Drake and Soulja Boy's "We Made It." "Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk/ Silly me rappin' 'bout shit that I really bought/ Why these rappers rap about guns they ain't shot?/ And a bunch of other silly shit that they ain't got," he says.In February, Drake told Rolling Stone, "It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references! I would love to collect at some point, but I think the whole rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny." He also said he tried to avoid controversy "for the sake of my career," but evidently his actions speak louder than words.
