Mariah Carey takes advatange of the high humidity in Puerto Rico’s El Yungue National Rain Forest to look extra-glowing in the sultry music video for "You're Mine (Eternal)", the second single from the pop diva's forthcoming 14th LP, due in stores May 6th. The Rodney Jerkins-helmed ballad was released on iTunes yesterday morning (February 12th). Although fans of Mariah (aka. lambs) have declared her love for the new song, they have failed to make "You're Mine (Eternal)" a rapid iTunes hit. As of this post, Mariah's new single hadn't break into the Top 10 yet (sits at #13).As for the "You're Mine (Eternal)" music video, it was premiered at 7:50PM (EST) last night on MTV. Mariah sat down with MTV host Sway for a special interview before the world premiere. She explained the ballad as a; "modern classic that makes you have an emotional response and yet still is something that could play on radio now". Filmed in Puerto Rico's El Yungue National Rain Forest, and directed by Indrani, the music video shows a topless Mariah sitting on a chair in the middle of the forest, swiming in the crystal-clear waters at the beach, and lying on a rock by a river. First thing that popped into my head after watching this? Nicole's Scherzinger's "Try With Me" music video for some reason. Oh, R&B crooner Trey Songz makes a cameo in the video posing shirtless in several shots. His "urban" remix of "You're Mine (Eternal)" with Mariah will also get the music video treatment. That will happen this Friday BET'.
