Bruno Mars Calls NY Times' Article "Disgusting", Plays Hidden Camera Prank on "Ellen"

He smashed the ratings making the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show the most-watched in history, but Bruno Mars didn't impress everyone. The New York Times published a way too critical article the following day of Bruno's rousing performance saying that "he isn't yet a star, and that the Super Bowl halftime was too big for him". These comments were recovered and discussed with Bruno in person by Ellen DeGeneres when he interviewed the Hawaii-born star on Monday (Feb. 10). She praised Bruno's showmanship on stage, and asked him about "the call" he got from the NFL execs to play this year's Super Bowl halftime. He simply said he couldn't say no to something of that dimension. When asked about the NY Times article, Bruno called it "disgusting". Ellen backed Bruno asking out loud why the NY Times thought Bruno couldn't play the halftme show for merely not having a fragance yet? (lol). Aside the Super Bowl drama, Bruno's appearance on "Ellen" also had a lively and funny part. He played one of those now-legendary hidden camera pranks where Ellen tells Bruno everything he has to do via an ear-piece. Here the "victim" was a nurse that was coming to the studio to check on Bruno's alleged "sore throat".
