New Music: Little Mix - "Word Up" [Full Audio + Review]

Listen now to Little Mix's cover of the 1986 Cameo funk/R&B hit "Word Up!". The British girl group is officially releasing their cover on iTunes UK on March 16th. This has been chosen as the Sport Relief Single 2014. All proceeds will go to charity. I am loving this updated version of Cameo's "Word Up!". Little Mix's harmonies are spot-on, and the whole record is pure fire. Can't wait to see them perform this live. Little Mix released last November their sophomore album "Salute". The first two singles "Move" and "Little Me" failed to top the UK Singles Chart, peaking at #3 and #4, respectively. So here's hoping "Word Up!" becomes Little Mix's new #1. They really deserve it! And this may be the only #1 they get this year, 'cause I doubt there's a song left on "Salute" that has "#1 hit" potential. "Move" was the only one for me, and it only reached #3. So disappointing! Maybe they can pull a re-release of "Salute"?
