New Music: IamSu! (feat. 2 Chainz & Sage the Gemini) - "Only That Real"

After several mixtapes and features, rapper IamSu! is finally going to have a full-length studio album in stores. Although "Sincerely Yours" won't be out 'till later this year via HBK Gang, the 24-year-old Richmond, Calif. MC has already picked his first single, and in fact, released it online last night (Jan. 27). The trak is called "Only That Real", it features 2 Chainz and Sage the Gemini and it was produced by P-Lo of The Invasion. IamSu! already appeared on Sage the Gemini's Billboard Hot 100 Top 30 hit "Gas Pedal", so it was only OK for Sage to return the favor and feature on IamSu!'s debut LP's lead single. "Only That Real" isn't as catchy, and commercial as "Gas Pedal", but it has potential to be a hit...right? Listen below, and you be the judge. I like Sage the Gemini and 2 Chainz's verses, and IamSu! does his thing, but I wish he had released something more uptempo (a banger, in better words) as his lead single. This is too risky, and it would be a shame that after many great mixtapes, and great features, he would jeopardize his career with a flop "lead single".
