With two weeks to go until the release of Selena Gomez's "Stars Dance" album, one of the most anticipated songs off of her debut solo studio album has leaked.
Called "Love Will Remember," the ballad was written by Gomez about her breakup with on-again off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber.
The track starts with a recording of a voicemail from a young man that sounds like Bieber. "Hey babe, it's me," the voicemail begins. "I just want to call and tell you that I love you so, so, so, so much. I just wanted to let you know that you are my princess. You are worthy of all the love in the world. You are the love of my life." According to GossipCop, the voice on the tape does not belong to Bieber.
The voicemail recording leads into Gomez's vocals, crooning about lost love in the ballad. Take a listen to "Love Will Remember" above.
“That’s the most personal track on the record, for sure,” Gomez said of the song in a recent interview with InStyle. “I think it’s a sweet way of releasing it. It’s not an aggressive approach to what people are probably expecting. I’m sure he’ll love it too.”
Gomez will release "Stars Dance" on July 23 before hitting the road in August for her Stars Dance Tour to promote the album. Earlier this year, Gomez debuted "Come & Get It," the lead single off of the album. The track hit No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been certified platinum.
