Carly Rae Jepsen Strips Down 'Curiosity': Exclusive Video Performance

Before "Call Me Maybe" mania swept the nation last year, Carly Rae Jepsen released an EP in her native Canada last year titled "Curiosity," with its title track serving as a euphoric dance cut. The song, which made its way onto Jepsen's "Kiss" album when it was released last September, also sounds great as a bare-bones ballad, as evidenced by Jepsen's acoustic take on "Curiosity" in this Billboard.com-exclusive live video.
Filmed in Tokyo last week, the stripped-down take on the song is captured in front of a gorgeous skyline as Jepsen and her two accompanying guitarists, Tavish Crowe and Jared Manierka, fill out a window ledge. Although there are a lot fewer eyes on Jepsen than at her arena shows, the 26-year-old sports her impressive range while belting out the track in the intimate space.
Along with "Curiosity," Jepsen's sophomore album "Kiss" features "Call Me Maybe," which spent nine weeks atop the Hot 100 last year, as well as the Owl City collaboration "Good Time," which climbed into the Top 10 of the chart. Along with her current stint opening for Justin Bieber on his international arena tour, Jepsen is releasing the album cut "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" as her next single, with a music video on the way.
Speaking of irresistible singles, check out Jepsen's recent breakdown of her all-time favorite pop songs -- including Robyn, Estelle and the Bangles -- for Pop Shop's Gimme Five series.
