American Idol judge Nicki Minaj stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Liveon Friday evening (Jan. 25th) in the midst of her busy promotion schedule to discuss everything from her ongoing feuds with co-judge(s) on Idol to her love of giving nicknames to other people.
About handing out nicknames, the colorful rapper said that it is something that she has always done and that she even gave a random nickname to her mother when she was younger. Regarding her feud with co-judge Mariah Carey on Idol, she tells Kimmel that while she likes and respects her, she doesn’t feel like the feelings are mutual – which is one of the many variables to the tension on the panel. (That was all paraphrased, by the way.)
Later on, she took to the outdoor stage and performed her hits “Va Va Voom” and “Freedom” before a large crowd that was waiting out in the rain.
