The not-yet-titled ninth studio album by Pop princess Britney Spears continues in the slow cooking oven. Last year, during the presentation of her “Intimate Britney Spears” lingerie collection in New York, the “Woody Woodpecker” impersonator confirmed that she was working on some new music and of course, fans are more excited than ever.
Spears said during ExtraTV interview that she was working “very slowly, but progressively” and her new album have a different sound to what she has done so far, more “rock-pop“.
In early summer 2014 was rumored the release of a new song called “All the Way“, but eventually did not materialize. The track was also rumored to be a part of the upcoming comedy film “Search Party“. A film written by Scot Armstrong, will follow a group of friends looking to help a buddy, who has fallen on hard times, reunite with a former flame.
Universal had initially set the film a September 12, 2014 release date, but in August, it has been moved back to an unspecified date. So, maybe they are waiting to start promoting with Britney.
According BreatheHeavy, On 15 February, 2015, three new songs have been registered by Britney’s team, including a cover of Ask Embla’s classic “Father’s Eyes“.
The other two are: “Forgiven” and “Just Let Me Go“, which is most probably the working title of the “La Isla Bonita” sampling demo we all know as “Love to Love U“.
Confirmed/Registered/Recorded tracks:
- All the Way
- Father’s Eyes | Gary Chapman
- Forgiven | Shelley Peiken
- Just Let Me Go
