Jennifer Lopez Unveils Super-Airbrushed Cover for 8th Album 'A.K.A'

We know we live in the era of Photoshop, and that every picture that is used for commercial purposes should look the prettiest they can be. But, artists sometimes put Photoshop's wonders a little too to the limit. Look at Jennifer Lopez' new album cover for example. The 'First Love' singer debuted at Pacific midnight via Twitter (Sunday, May 4th) the official artwork for her 8th studio album, which is by the way called 'A.K.A'. (So it was indeed a battle between '#SameGirl' and 'A.K.A' as she told Jimmy Kimmel). We're fine with the title (which means 'also known as' for those of you not in the knowing). However, the album artwork must be dissected. First thing that popped into our head was 'FIERCE', which is good. But the second word(s) was: 'Holy, Photoshop!', and this is not so good. Whoever was editing J.Lo's album photoshoot just went overboard. She looks so plastic, the lighting looks weird, the shadow looks weird, and Jennifer's eyes look serial killer-weird. Her body is bangin' though, and the leathery red outfit is definitely 'visually engaging', ha. We do like her face too, but those eyes...are really scary. Overall, 'FIERCE' cover as we said, but this is a clear example of how Photoshop should not be used. Oh, also we don't like that much the font 'A.K.A' is written in. That's it.
