[Full Interview] Pharrell On ‘The Howard Stern Show’

Pharrell On ‘The Howard Stern Show’ Pharrell continued his media promo run earlier today (April 29th) with an appearance on ‘The Howard Stern Show’. The show was aired live on SiriusXM and spanned over an hour in length. Howard Stern is known for getting the most out of people and that was prevalent in this episode as the Virginia-born musician freely spoke on a variety of subjects. He opened up about wanting to work with Prince, writing songs for Michael Jackson that ended up on Justin Timberlake's 'Justified' album, getting in a scuffle with Madonna, growing up in the hood, writing 'Blurred Lines' in an hour and a half, Cee-Lo Green passing on 'Happy', fans being a big part of his success, being humbled by how big 'Happy' has become, and much more. Listen to the audio of Pharrell's visit to 'The Howard Stern Show' in it's entirety below. Scuffling with Madonna: "I don't remember specifically, but the jist of it was we kept doing this one take over and over again and I saw where it was going and I saw her beginning to get frustrated. So I was trying to sorta get her to deviant from that and try something different and she was like "I got it!"....that kinda thing kept happening and I was like "Listen you can't just talk to me any kinda way." On Cee-Lo passing on 'Happy': "The powers that be at the time did not see it fit for him. There was a much bigger agenda for him, he had an album to put out. He wanted to do it but some folks on his team just felt the priority should have been on his album at the time."
