 One Direction:One Direction (commonly initialized as 1D) are an English pop boy band based in London, consisting of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. They signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after being formed and finishing third in the seventh series of the British televised singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Propelled to international success by the power of social media, One Direction's three albums, Up All Night, Take Me Home and Midnight Memories, (released in 2011, 2012 and 2013 respectively), broke several records, topped the charts of most major markets, and generated hit singles, which include "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young" and "Story of My Life". Their achievements include two BRIT Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards among many others. According to Nick Gatfield, the chairman and chief executive of Sony Music Entertainment UK, One Direction represented a $50 million business empire by June 2012. They were proclaimed 2012's "Top New Artist" by Billboard. According to the Sunday Times Rich List, by April 2013 they had an estimated personal combined wealth of £25 million ($41.2m) making them the second wealthiest musicians in the UK under 30 years of age.[2] After the release of Midnight Memories, One Direction became the first band in US Billboard 200 history to have their first three albums debut at number one. Additionally, the album was a global success, debuting at number one on the UK Albums Chart and becoming the fastest and biggest selling album of 2013 in the UK.

 Mecklemore & Ryan Lewis:Macklemore & Ryan Lewis is a American hip hop duo formed in 2009, from Seattle, Washington. The duo is composed of Ben Haggerty, a rapper who goes by the name of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, a record producer, disc jockey (DJ) and professional photographer. Lewis met Macklemore at a photo shoot and they have significantly collaborated ever since, with the VS. EP (2009), VS. Redux (2010) and the Grammy Award-winning album The Heist (2012). 

 One Republic:OneRepublic is an American pop rock band from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Formed in 2003 by Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins, the band achieved commercial success on MySpace as an unsigned act. In 2003, the band was discovered by actress Kelly Barrett in Hollywood and signed to Sony BMG for three years, before moving to Mosley Music Group. In 2007, OneRepublic released their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud. Its lead single, "Apologize" was notably remixed by Timbaland, becoming a huge international success, reaching number one in sixteen countries, subsequently earning them a Grammy Award nomination. The second single, "Stop and Stare" mirrored its predecessor's success. The album was later certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The band's second album, Waking Up, (2009) produced the successful singles, "All the Right Moves", "Secrets", "Marchin On", and "Good Life", the latter reaching the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100. OneRepublic's third album, Native (2013) became the band's first top ten album on the Billboard 200, and highest charting album to date, charting at number four. The lead single, "If I Lose Myself" charted within the top ten in several countries, while the album's third single, "Counting Stars", became the band's most successful single in recent years, obtaining top five placements in Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the U.S. and the UK. This marks their highest charting single in the United Kingdom to date. It has also peaked at number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100, marking their highest peak since "Good Life" in 2010. 

 Tegan And Sara:Tegan and Sara are a Canadian indie rock duo formed in 1995 in Calgary, composed of identical twin sisters Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin (both born September 19, 1980). Both musicians are songwriters and play the guitar and keyboards. 

 Icona Pop:Icona Pop is a Swedish DJ duo that formed in 2009, with electro house, punk and indie pop music influences. The two members Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, who grew up in Stockholm, create music "which you can both laugh and cry with at the same time". They signed to TEN Music Group in 2009. Their biggest hit to date has been "I Love It". The duo received international attention following their debut single "Manners", which was released by Neon Gold on French label Kitsuné, and the extended-play album Nights Like This on English Mercury Records. Since September 2012, the duo have been based in Los Angeles and New York City in the United States. 

 Bastille:Bastille (stylised as BΔSTILLE) are an English rock band formed in London in 2010. They began as a solo project by singer-songwriter Dan Smith, who later decided to form a band. The four-piece consists of members; Smith, Chris Wood, William Farquarson and Kyle Simmons. The name of the band derives from Bastille Day – an event celebrated on Smith's birthday, 14 July. In December 2010, EMI Music announced that they had offered Bastille a record contract with Virgin Records. Their debut single, "Overjoyed" was subsequently released in April 2012. Their second single, "Bad Blood" – which shares the same title as the band's first studio album, followed in August 2012, and achieved moderate success in the United Kingdom, charting at number ninety. The third track to be taken from Bad Blood, titled "Flaws", became the group's first to enter the charts inside the Top 40, debuting at number twenty-one. In February 2013, ahead of the release of their debut album, the band's fourth single, "Pompeii", was released to huge demand, charting at number two in the UK and number ten in the US. Their first studio album, titled Bad Blood, was released in March 2013 and debuted atop the UK Albums Chart.[8] The band has been nominated for four Brit Awards, including for British Group, British Breakthrough Act, and British Album of the Year, at the 2014 BRIT Awards. 

 Paramore:Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Taylor York. The group released its debut album All We Know Is Falling in 2005, and its second album Riot! in 2007, which was certified Platinum in the US and Ireland and Gold in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK. Brand New Eyes, Paramore's third album, was released in 2009 and is the band's second-highest charting album to date, going platinum in Ireland and the UK, and gold in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Paramore's 2013 self-titled fourth album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts in the United States. It was also the No. 1 album in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.
