And I thought we had gotten rid of him...! In a last attempt to save his sophomore album "Surfers Paradise", Cody Simpson releases a new single off of it, ("Love" featuring Ziggy Marley) and has premiered an accompanying music video too. Watch above! "Surfers Paradise" was released in stores in July last year. The album is a certified flop, and I just don't know why is Atlantic Records still willing to produce singles out of it and give Cody money to shoot new music videos. It's cash gone straight to the garbage bin! "La Da Dee" was the latest single from the album. It was officially released last September. So it's been a good five months until Cody or Atlantic felt like a new single was required. I personally doubt "Love" is going to become a huge radio hit or that it will appear on the iTunes Top 100 Songs Chart anytime soon. The only thing that's made Cody Simpson's career endure this long was his supporting act role on Justin Bieber's US leg of his "Believe Tour", and the recent publishing of his first book, "Welcome to Paradise". He may have attained some good exposure from his journey with Bieber, but that was quickly overshadowed by the disappointing sales of his book. For real, who is going to buy that? Anyway, it seems Atlantic Records is giving Cody Simpson a second and last opportunity. He's currently recording his third studio album. He better come up with a real hit!
