Such an appropriate timing now that the new single is "Unconditionally", huh? Out of nowhere, today (November 14th), Katy Perry uploaded onto her YouTube/VEVO channel a 20-minute "making of" video for her hit single "Roar". Yeah, that song that infuriated Lady Gaga for preventing “Applause” to go #1. Katy topped almost every chart in the world with the up-lifting Dr Luke-produced, Bonnie Mckee-penned song, and although this 20-minute long "making of" footage made more sense during the time "Roar" was "super hot" on the charts, and radio, Katy's camp felt "now" was the right time. Why? Go figure. Watch Katy, aka. Jane of the Jungle, in action below. The music video for “Roar” was directed by Possum Hill, and it's racked up, as of this post, almost 200 million views on YouTube. The video featured jet accident, jungle theme, and a handful of "well mannered" animals made appearances. It’s amazing the high budgets Capitol Records give Katy for her music videos. However, since in the end they know all this money is going to come back as profit, then it's a safe risk.
